THE WOMAN BEHIND IT ALL
SIRENA PHOTO BOOTH
Get To Know The Owner
When Anais Camilo was a little girl, she would play with her dolls just like other girls her age. Her dolls symbolized the key to a new world, and she would imagine a Seaworld where she was a mermaid. Over time, she grew an infatuation with the mythical half-human creature. As a result, her friends and family nicknamed her Sirena, the Spanish translation to a mermaid. For Camilo, her biggest aspiration is for the world to feel the way she did in those moments, hence naming her business Sirena Photo Booth.
“When my customer enters the booth, they’re not just at a quinceanera or a baby shower, they’re stepping into an experience. When they step into the booth, it’s all about them. They can be themselves or a different version of themselves without really worrying about what other people have to say.” – Anais Camilo
Capturing and saving photos since the tender age of 11, photography and visual content have always been a priority throughout her life — documenting her most thrilling and loving experiences in film and digital while growing up in Philadelphia.
“I’m big on saving memories. I love saving pictures and revisiting the past, and embracing those moments. I knew that I wanted to create a business that would emphasize something enjoyable. Something I wouldn’t get bored with.”
